POSITION DESCRIPTION

JOB TITLE: CARD CENTRE SUPERVISOR-OPERATIONS

REPORTS TO: MANAGER CHANNELS OPERATIONS

ROLE PURPOSE

The supervisor card centre will direct and manage activities of ATM card/pin production and offer support for ATMs to ensure delivery of quality service and timely production of cards and Pins

KEY RESULT AREAS/ DELIVERABLES

• Supervise the card/pin production unit to ensure that all cards are processed timely and accurately
• Ensure that cards and Pins are securely kept during and after production

• Develop, implement, and enforce card/pin production policies, processes, and procedures

• Monitoring of card stock to ensure that there are no stockouts for cards and pin stationery

• Direct the card centre team to ensure timely service delivery to branches

• Timely identification of point of service failures and implementation of corrective measures

• Champion the monitoring of the ATMs through advising on cash and logistic replenishments to ensure high ATM availability

• Regular review of queries from Business units to confirm that they are resolved as per agreed Service Level Agreement

• Identifying process gaps and implementing process Improvements for Card/pin production while minimizing risk. Escalate any process gaps and incidents including near misses to the Manager Channels Operations

• Co-ordinate service providers to ensure that they deliver as per their contracts and timelines and validation of invoices that relate to Card production and ATM services

• Develop staff through training, mentoring and identification of their needs

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience, 2 of which must have been in card operations. Experience in online banking, ATM, and card base support is essential

• Knowledge and effective application of all relevant banking policies, processes, procedures, and guidelines to consistently achieve required compliance standards or benchmarks

• Self-empowerment to enable development of open communication, teamwork and trust that are needed to support true performance and customer-service oriented culture

• Substantial knowledge and exposure in branch banking operations is a must. Possess knowledge and experience in Card Centre Operation, ATM & other alternate channels operation

• Possess good awareness of operation risk and sensitive to operation irregularity

• Good team player, positive attitude, and willing to work under high pressure
and tight timeline

EDUCATION AND TRAINING

• A Business degree in finance, Commerce, Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, management, or any relevant field

• Possession of a Certified banking qualification is an added advantage
