Job Description
- Establish, roll out and monitor the Lifting Operations Competence Development system, the lifting operations procedure, the lifting equipment condition assurance system.
- Provide technical assistance to all entities (including contractors) for the lifting operations, lifting plans, the selection of lifting equipment, operators competencies and training plans.
- Define the criticality of the lifting operations.
- Review and approve the critical lifting plans.
- Attend the lifts when required or ensure that a suitable delegation for supervision is in place.
- Prepare and Submit to the Technical Authority the lifting portfolio for the lifting operations level 1.
- Provide lifting expertise advise and training to all RSES / RSES-D and packages Managers.
- Organize and carry out the lifting reviews and audits on each affiliate and/or contractors site on a yearly basis or whenever it is deemed necessary.
- Coordinate and Participate in all external lifting audits performed by HQ.
- Perform the ‘’condition checks and fitness for purpose’’ on the lifting equipment, appliances/accessories, CCUs and evaluate their good utilization on site.
Context and environment
Candidate profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering or equivalent industry related.
- Qualifications such as LEEA / EAL / OPITO / NSL / CPA Competent Assessor (9DI)
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in Lifting & handling operations as Superintendent/Management level and preferably within the oil & gas industry.
- Proven certifications of all types of mechanical lifting operations and familiar with working knowledge of international standards and guidance, with a working profile experience such as: rigger, rigger foreman, rigging supervisor, lifting supervisor, lifting superintendent, Site lifting specialist.
- Knowledge and experience in database management including MS access, word, project, excel.
