“Joining Forces” is a global collaboration between six of the world’s largest child rights organisations – Child Fund, Plan International, Save the Children, SOS Children’s Villages, Terre des Hommes and World Vision. It aims to fight for child rights and end violence against children, by working together to share learning and experiences and maximise our impact.

In Uganda, the Joining Forces alliance is led by Save the Children (SCI) and will be launching a new project to address violence, abuse, exploitation and neglect of children. During the COVID-19 crisis and in recovery phase (3 years), the intervention aims to strengthen national and local protection and response systems; work specifically with families, communities and institutions to improve child protection capabilities, attitudes and behaviors; increase the capacity and agency of children themselves to prevent and respond to violence against them; and increase learning and generate best practice related to child protection approaches.
