Officer Creative Design – (210002H)

JOB ROLE/ PURPOSE:

Plan and create visual solutions in support of marketing strategies and communications initiatives, finding the most effective way to communicate cross-media

  1. Develop creative media concepts in line with the communication policy for URA to ensure effective communication.
  1. Provide creative ideas, samples, client mock-ups and final designs on assignments
  2. Design and develop print materials for marketing and event promotions including brochures, flyers, posters, ads, stationery, and calendars as well as design for online & email communications.
  3. Meet with clients to gain an understanding of what they want their proposed communications to look like and produce drafts for review by clients
  4. Create or incorporate illustrations, pictures, and designs to reflect the desired theme and tone of the communications.
  5. Work with clients, briefing and advising them on the design style, format, print production and timescales
  6. Work closely with marketing and communication teams on strategic promotions and organization’s communications (email, web, events, meetings)
  7. Develop layout and design of annual reports, tax literature, magazines, newsletters, clients: events and development departments: print and web ads, product concept and development, e-blasts, flyers and any other URA publications as and when the need arises
  1. Produce graphic or multimedia content to ensure proper dissemination of Tax information to URA stakeholders.
  1. Create, edit, alter and apply the clients’ desired content and effects in the various campaigns/communications
  2. Edit graphic/multimedia to include preselected music, interviews, sound clips and other important aspects of the project
  3. Coordinate effective and efficient communication between the creative team and client creative inputs.
  4. Operate computer editing systems and equipment used for graphic/multimedia and effects
  5. Design web pages, brochures, logos, signs, books, magazine covers, annual reports, advertisements, and other communication materials.
  6. Collaborate with teams to create visually engaging graphic/multimedia content and develop all creative projects in line with the URA brand standards
  7. Create an initial proposed storyboard draft of the graphic/multimedia to present to clients and receive approval before beginning to digitally alter the content
  8. Performing media edits based on user feedback.
  1. Manage and update graphic/multimedia content in line with the URA communication policy to ensure effective dissemination of information
  1. Collect and store all graphic/multimedia content produced.
  2. Support the development and implementation of graphic/multimedia production standards, practices and procedures for use of URA corporate identity/identities
  3. Research on graphic/multimedia media techniques and design ideas to improve outputs. Maintain knowledge of the latest techniques and procedures used in designs
  4. Conduct graphic/multimedia asset development including conceptualization, storyboarding, animating, and editing
  5. Schedule, plan, estimate cost, request quotes and subsequent approval for printing, cutting, binding and all phases of production
  6. Perform quality control on all graphic/multimedia content
  7. Liaising with external printers regularly to ensure deadlines are met and material is printed to the highest quality
  8. Prepare periodic reports on efficiency of the communications designed

 

Qualifications

 PERSONAL SPECIFICATIONS

Essential Requirements 

  1. An honor’s bachelor’s degree in visual communication/graphics design, Multimedia design, graphic design, mass communication and broadcasting

Desirable Requirements

  1. Certificate in graphic/multimedia design
  2. Experience in Motion/Graphic design and production experience in a reputable organisation

Knowledge

  1. Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Cinema 4D, After Effects, Premier Pro, is a MUST
  2. Knowledge of requirements and experience working with traditional four-color printing and digital design
  3. Knowledge of the printing process, paper types, bindery processe Video and Animation Production: Proficiency in standard video editing software like Premiere Pro, Sony Vegas, final cut pro, Motion Graphics; After effects, Avid Media Composer, Light works
  4. Familiarity with 3D composition and special effects.
  5. Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and STATA

  3. Excellent IT skills, especially with design and photo-editing software
  4. Proficiency in MS Office and web development applications (Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop

  6. Strong capabilities in Print and web design; must know how to work with both types of media for integrated campaigns
  7. Strong emphasis on original design, as well as the ability to conceptualize and utilize existing template and stock art media
  8. Able to keep on schedule and multi-task in a busy, production-intensive environment
  9. Copywriting/editing/proofreading skills and creating concept boards and other visual representations for video projects
  10. Social Media Motion Production skills: For Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube
  11. Strong interpersonal skills
  12. Camera skills: Picture Formatting, and Editing: Sony, Canon, Nikon, Panasonic, JVC among others
  13. Sound/Audio Production: Logic Pro, Logic Platinum, Soundtrack pro, Auditions/cool edit, Audacity, Zara Studio
