JOB ROLE/ PURPOSE:
Build and maintain positive, productive partnerships with key stakeholders of the Authority and implement initiatives that will promote citizenry engagement.
Participate in the Planning and Strategy implementation to ensure achievement of PCA strategy.
- Liaise with departmental stakeholder liaisons to plan, manage and develop a portfolio of strategically valuable relationships.
- Plan and deliver a proactive programme of engagement with those relationships, ensuring that stakeholders have opportunities to be engaged within line with URA’s stakeholder engagement guidelines.
- Implement stakeholder engagement strategies including informing, consulting and involving stakeholders in mutually impactful initiatives.
Establish and maintain strategic relationships to strengthen the Tax Administration partnerships across the region
- Identify, and support the management of, opportunities for partnership working that will aid the delivery of our corporate strategy.
- Establish and maintain internal relationships that will aid improvements in the coordination and development of relationship management activity.
- Ensure stakeholders are recognized as partners in the development and delivery of URA’s strategic goals.
Coordinate internal staff training and sensitizations to ensure proper communication of URA products internally.

- Educate staff on the value of – and are committed to the genuine participation of stakeholders in the development of products and services.
- Conduct sensitizations for staff on stakeholder needs in a client-focused manner and regularly communicate.
Monitor and evaluate engagement initiatives as well as stakeholders within the relationship portfolio.
- Maintain up-to-date stakeholder engagement inventory.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of these strategies, satisfaction levels and implement strategies for improvement, based on feedback obtained.
- Proactively monitor the PESTEL environment and work of organisations within the relationship portfolio., making colleagues aware of external developments that could impact and/or support our functions, policies and work, and provide advice on how to engage and respond.
Develop briefs, reports and advice on implemented initiatives and issues within the relationship portfolio to ensure healthy stakeholder relations.
- Develop an in-depth understanding of the relationships within the portfolio.
- Produce written briefings, support and advice on a range of issues within your relationship portfolio.
- Produce accurate stakeholder engagement reports and dashboards representing the effects of interventions on targeted stakeholders.
- Prepare, document, review and submit periodic progress reports to the supervisor
- Repackage appropriate response into a clear digestible format for a wide audience
Essential Requirements
- An honor’s bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce with a bias in Marketing, International Business, PR & Communications with a bias in Public Relations from a reputable institution.
Desirable Requirements
- Experience in Stakeholder Engagement, communications, campaign development in a reputable organization.
- Training in Stakeholder Engagement/ Campaign development/ Advanced Customer Care/ Negotiation
Knowledge
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Survey development and deployment
- Strong understanding of consultation principles and tools and ability to apply these effectively
