Job Purpose: The Project Driver reports directly to the Program Coordinator and his role is to provide efficient and safe transportation of authorized personnel and/or commodities in a clean and well maintained vehicle as well as act as office messenger helping out with basic office work and other logistical arrangements

JOB SPECIFICATIONS: PRIORITY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Takes responsibilities of all the transport needs including official errands in the projects as authorized by the supervisor
  • Delivers all official communications/ Materials to their respective destination
  • Take charge of all the project vehicles cleanliness and maintenance
  • Performs miscellaneous office support functions such as making photo copies, purchase of both office and other family supplies.

Required Experience and Qualifications:- 

  • A mature man aged between 28 and 35 years.
  • Ordinary/Advanced level secondary education.
  • He should have good spoken and written English language skills
  • A valid driver’s license (preferably with class DL) and good knowledge of basic car mechanics.
  • At least 3 years driving experience in a credible organization for example NGOs or other busy organization/office setting.
  • The ideal candidate must have good knowledge on child rights and child protection issues.
  • Basic experience in office work will be an added advantage.
  • Willing to reside and be based in Palabek, Lamwo District with frequent travels to Gulu and other districts.
