Background: USAID/Uganda Biodiversity for Resilience (B4R) Activity is a five-year Program (2020-2025) whose aim is to assist communities, the Government of Uganda (GOU), and the private sector to conserve and manage biodiversity in target ecosystems for lasting environmental and economic sustainability and for increased community and household resilience. The Activity is implemented by RTI in a consortium with AWF, CTPH and Viamo in the following four target landscapes: Kidepo, Murchison, Lake Mburo (Rurambira) and Budongo.
The project is currently accepting applications from qualified candidates who wish to work as enumerators in data collection undertakings in Rurambira Conservancy area, in the L.Mburo game reserve area. This is a pre-qualification process that aims to come up with a shortlist of suitable candidates and establish a database of qualified candidates to work as enumerators as and when the project will need such services in Rurambira.
Purpose & Justification: Enumerators will participate in data collection in Rurambira Conservancy area, in Kiruhura District, in the L.Mburo game reserve area.
Planned Activities:
The baseline survey activity will entail primary data collection which will be done by locally recruited enumerators from the survey target landscape areas. The enumerators will be trained and the survey instrument pre-tested before deploying to the field for the actual data collection.

Roles and Responsibilities of each Enumerator:
- Participate in training session on survey instrument and mobile data collection
- Take part in pre-test of survey instrument
- Undertake data collection using mobile tablets
- Submit completed daily questionnaires to B4R M&E survey lead in the field.
- Observe COVID-19 SOPs at all times, during training and at data collection. Each enumerator will be required to sign RTI’s COVID-19 Health pledge form, affirming their commitment to observing COVID-19 SOPs
Qualification
Possession of a diploma or higher. Prior experience in conducting surveys using mobile tablets is an advantage. Fluency in English and the locality language is a requirement.
