Purpose of this work:
PCI Media seeks a Uganda-based videographer and photographer to produce a video testimonial and photo bank that showcase efforts to soundly manage chemicals and waste in Uganda. The video will be shared digitally and at international conferences.
Deliverables:
Under the supervision of PCI Media, the Consultant is expected to produce:
1. Footage featuring interviews and b-roll of the Ugandan representative of the chemicals and waste project selected by PCI Media.

2. A suite of impact photos (at least 250, fully edited) for the Programme that can be used for publications, websites, social media, etc. Impact photos should focus on the representative and his/her project.
All materials should be shot at 16:9, HD 1080p. (framerates to be decided prior to filming) The Contractor shall use their own HD quality video camera. See separate Terms of Reference for postproduction if interested in editing and finalizing the video.
Evaluation Criteria
The independent contractor should have the following qualifications:
• A minimum of 5 years’ work experience in photography and videography
• A portfolio of authentic published work
• An eye for detail and creativity
• Work experience in a developing country context or with environmental topics would be an advantage.
Consultant must be prepared to travel in-country to remote locations. In-country travel
arrangements and logistics will be organized by UN Environment and PCI Media.
Note: English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat.
For the position, fluency in oral and written English is required. Knowledge of another UN official language is an advantage.
Each proposal will be first assessed on its technical merits. Scores will be allocated according to the table below:
Timeline
Filming is expected to be completed between 1 April 2021 and 30 April 2021. Exact schedule to be coordinated between UN Environment, PCI Media, and the consultant.
Photographs must be edited and compiled into a repository by 31 May 2021.
Submission
Interested individuals should submit a Technical and Financial Proposal.
The Technical Proposal should include, but is not limited to, the following:
• Short profile of the company, including references for staff, clients, and relevant work;
• Portfolio (including web links) showcasing video editing work, with information regarding
specific responsibilities reflected in each video;
• Production capabilities (equipment)
The Financial Proposal shall specify an all-inclusive fee per video product. The proposal should be in US Dollars ($), broken down as follows:
1. Cost of filming and delivery of all raw footage
2. Cost of photo bank
3. Hard drive and backup with all original files and shipping to US
If not included in the ToR, PCI Media will not reimburse costs not directly related to the assignment.
This contract does not allow payment of off-hours, medical insurance, taxes, and sick leave.

PCI Media is committed to ensuring the safety of the video crew, interviewees, and all other parties involved in production. We expect the contractor to follow national COVID-19 safety precautions before, during, and after the work in the field.
