Let’s Walk Uganda is an LGBT care and support non-profit organization which was found in 2016 with the aim to provide temporary shelter, SRHR services, community empowerment, onpine counseling and online advocacy. Informed by the issues and experiences raised through our services we also research and document violations of human rights on LGBT persons in Uganda. We are looking for a motivated and passionate program director to supervise a wide range of programs within a fast growing organization.
The desired person must have knowledge on resource mobilization, program management and leadership principles with passion for Human Rights.
The goal is to ensure smooth flow of the existing programs and moblization of new projects in the organization.
Initiate and set goals for programs according to the strategic objectives of the organization.
Plan the programs from start to completion involving deadlines, milestones and processes.
Develop budgets and operations.
Devise evaluation strategies to mornitor performance and determine the need for improvements.
Ensure program operatiosn and activities adhere to legal guidelines and internal policies.
Write and submit Project proposals on behalf of the organization.
Keep the Executive director informed with detailed and accurate reports or presentations.
Passion for Human Rights
Working Knowledge of MS office.
Proposal Writing Skills
Excellent written and spoken English.
An anlytical mindset
Organizational and leadership skills
Excellent communication skills
Willigness to learn
Ability to solve problems.
Diploma in any relevant Field.
