Danish Refugee Council Humanitarian Response Roster – Join the New Candidate Database for Humanitarian Experts

The DRC Humanitarian Response Roster is launching a new Candidate Database. This is a great opportunity for humanitarian professionals to express their interest in future deployments and potential roster membership, even when the roster isn’t actively recruiting.

What is the Candidate Database?

This database enables interested individuals to register for consideration in joining the DRC Humanitarian Response Roster. While registration does not guarantee automatic membership, it ensures that your information will be maintained in the records. When suitable candidates cannot be identified among existing roster members for specific positions, this database serves as a resource for locating qualified humanitarian experts. Additionally, registrants will receive notifications when the roster opens for new member recruitment.”

Please note: It is not mandatory to register in the database to be considered for future roster membership. The DRC will continue to accept applications for roster membership once a year through its usual process.

Who Should Register?

To be eligible for the database, you must meet the same criteria as those applying for full roster membership:

  • At least 3 years of humanitarian experience in your specific technical field.
  • 2-3 years of international humanitarian field experience.
  • Proficiency in at least one official UN language. English is required, and French is a strong advantage.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the complexities of refugee and IDP responses.
  • Relevant educational background, with a preference for United Nations experience.
