Volunteers work on small-scale, high-impact projects identified by local community members, addressing key needs and creating measurable results.This program is designed to foster critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a deeper understanding of one’s country and oneself.
Program Overview
- CorpsAfrica recruits and places young Africans in rural communities to lead small-scale, high-impact projects identified by local community members.
- The program aims to help volunteers build critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and gain a deeper understanding of their country and themselves through service.
- Volunteers come from diverse backgrounds including agriculture, gender, health, education, water and sanitation, environment, business, and engineering.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Citizenship: Applicants must be a citizen of the country to which they are applying.
- Age: Must be at least 21 years of age at the start of service.
- Education/Experience: Must have a university degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Commitment: Willingness and ability to serve for the entirety of the service year (typically 10-12 months) in rural and often remote communities.
- Volunteerism: Understand that volunteerism is an altruistic act, without expectation of financial gain.

- Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Morocco, Senegal: Applications for the 2025-2026 service year were open through April 30, 2025.
- Rwanda and South Africa: Applications opened on May 1, 2025, with a deadline of June 15, 2025.
