Their core operational strategy is the MHPSS Hubs Program, which mobilizes regional expertise, facilitates capacity building, and drives preparedness in humanitarian settings.
Role Overview: MHPSS Hub Officer
Humanity Crew is seeking a qualified MHPSS Hub Officer to lead the implementation of mental health hub activities and coordinate learning and development across its global network. This is a hybrid role requiring in-person engagement, field deployment during emergencies, and active participation in preparedness initiatives. The MHPSS Hub Officer will report to the MHPSS Hubs Manager and contribute to both on-the-ground program delivery and the organization’s broader strategy to improve MHPSS service readiness.

Key Responsibilities
Training & Capacity Building
- Identify training needs across Hubs using data, reports, and emergency response learnings.
- Develop and deliver customized training modules, summaries, and visual content (e.g., videos, presentations).
- Organize workshops, seminars, and individual training sessions, both in-person and online.
- Maintain attendance logs, training records, and lead MEAL (Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning) processes for training activities.
Hub Coordination & Support
- Participate in identifying and mobilizing MHPSS Hubs during emergencies and for preparedness.
- Support the establishment and launch of new Hubs in disaster-affected regions.
- Assist in evaluating the capacity of local responders, providing direct mentorship and MHPSS support.
- Help design and refine training material based on the evolving needs of each Hub and the operational context.
Collaboration with Emergency Response & MEAL Teams
- Coordinate with the Disaster Response and MEAL officers to ensure Hub-related activities align with broader emergency strategies.
- Conduct assessments to identify specialized needs of potential Hubs in the field.
- Provide secondary support during emergency operations, focusing on activating and strengthening Hubs.
- Integrate insights from Hub activities into training content and field preparedness strategies.
Online Hub Engagement & Platform Management
- Facilitate interaction on Humanity Crew’s exclusive Global Hubs online platform.
- Post content, moderate discussions, and support member onboarding.
- Monitor technical performance, engagement metrics, and follow up with participants.
- Work closely with the MHPSS Hubs Manager to ensure online activities complement field-based engagements.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience implementing MHPSS programs in humanitarian or development contexts.
- Academic background in psychology, mental health, public health, or a related discipline (Diploma or Degree required).
- Demonstrated experience in training delivery, capacity building, and mentorship.
- Strong understanding of information systems, data collection, and reporting platforms (e.g., Excel, Monday.com).
- Familiarity with MEAL tools and willingness to strengthen monitoring and evaluation skills.
- Experience in NGO or nonprofit settings, particularly in emergency response and coordination.
- Fluent in English (B2 level or above); additional language skills are an advantage.
- Excellent organizational, documentation, and planning capabilities.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $3,000 – $4,000/month, based on experience and qualifications.

Travel and Work Environment
