Eligibility and Requirements
To be eligible for the FAO Internship Programme, candidates must meet specific criteria. They must be nationals of FAO Member Nations and be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at the time of application, or be recent graduates . Candidates must also possess a working knowledge of at least one of the FAO’s official languages (English, French, Spanish, Arabic, Chinese, or Russian), with knowledge of a second language considered an asset . The age range for applicants is between 21 and 30 years old at the start of the internship .
Furthermore, candidates should demonstrate adaptability to an international and multicultural environment, possess strong communication skills, and be proficient in basic computer programs . Candidates must also have the appropriate residence or immigration status in the country of assignment . Family members of current FAO employees are not eligible .
