Internship Overview
This curricular internship offers a unique opportunity to gain practical experience within the Human Resources Department, specifically in the Recruitment and Learning & Development (L&D) units. The internship is designed for students who are actively enrolled in a degree program related to Human Resources, Humanities, Psychology, or a similar field.
By the end of the internship, the selected candidate will have a solid foundation in humanitarian HR practices, including recruitment workflows and training implementation strategies. The intern will also become familiar with the organizational challenges and opportunities related to talent acquisition and staff development in humanitarian settings.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment Support
- Assist in publishing vacancies across various internal and external platforms.
- Follow up with potential candidates and conduct background/reference checks.
- Manage rejection communications and update HR rosters.
- Support the maintenance of the IMP platform and archiving of candidate documentation.
- Participate in recruitment processes for junior-level positions.
- Maintain the weekly recruitment status tracker.
Learning & Development Support
- Promote and assist with General Standard Inductions and R.O.L.E. (Refresher on Learning & Experiences) initiatives.
- Support the delivery of technical training and the application of L&D policies in field missions.
- Contribute to Retention Rate Monitoring activities.
- Participate in coordination meetings with the L&D team, HR departments, and IT.
- Monitor and analyze feedback forms and training needs (Internal Review Process, Section 6).
- Assist in tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) related to L&D.
Candidate Profile
Education
- Actively enrolled in a relevant degree program (Human Resources, Humanities, Psychology, Sociology, etc.).
- Student status must be maintained throughout the internship duration.
Professional Experience
- Previous volunteer or internship experience in humanitarian or nonprofit organizations is an advantage.
- A demonstrated interest in HR, recruitment, and training is essential.
