Job Summary:
The Accounts Assistant will support the Finance department by performing tasks such as maintaining clear organization’s accounting records, making payments and verifying accuracy in financial information.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
• Input of accurate Financial Data into Sun system.
• Allocation of Supplier and staff Accounts after monthly posting.
• Initiate staff Imprests through mobile money payments which is then forwarded for reviewing.
• Reviewing financial documents for completeness and accuracy in line with budgets.
• Retrieval of documents periodically from the Archives.
• Filing financial documents in a serialized manner;
• Support during Audit process through retrieval of sampled documents.
• Review of outstanding unreconciled items and queries in a timely manner in Sun system
• Corrective actions through Reversals for all errors found in the System through passing Journals.
• Support in cash office through receipt issuing
• making payment vouchers
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Supervisor.
Basic Qualifications, Training and Experience
• A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting Option, or related field.
• Minimum of one (1) years’ experience
• Strong Analytical skills
• Good Communication skills
