MTI-UG has operations in West Nile and South western Uganda. We provide Comprehensive Primary Health Care, Reproductive Health, HIV/AIDS and Nutrition. MTI-Uganda is seeking to recruit highly competent, dynamic, trainable and experienced candidate to fill the following position;

Ambulance Driver

Mbarara, Moyo and Adjumani

POSITION

Three(3)

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for the safe transportation of authorized goods and passengers. Supports nurses in performing ambulance services. Ensuring its technical and safety conditions and respecting the country’s traffic rules

QUALIFICATION

§  ‘A’ Level Certificate of Education is required

§  Possession of a valid Uganda driving permit class CM & DL is required

§  Certification in defensive driving from a recognized institution is required

§  Certification in First Aid and CPR is required

§  Certification in vehicle mechanics and maintenance is an added advantage

EXPERIENCE/KN OWLEDGE

§  Minimum of 5 years’ experience

§  Minimum 3 years of heavy vehicle driving in Uganda is required

§  Clean driving record is required

§  Experience driving an ambulance and working with an international NGO is an added advantage

§  In-depth knowledge of road safety regulations and defensive driving techniques

§  Basic knowledge of vehicle mechanics and maintenance; First Aid and CPR

§  Excellent defensive driving skills

§  Skilled in administering First Aid and CPR

§  Skilled in identifying maintenance issues

§  Ability to remain calm in stressful situations to prioritize patient care

§  Physically fit and able to load vehicles

§  Ability to keep detailed records and write reports

§  Ability to follow procedures in response to accidents or emergency situations

§  Ability to support MTI Calling and adhere to the MTI Code of Conduct §       Professional, courteous, punctual
