The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Uganda in collaboration with Stanbic Bank Uganda recently launched the Youth4Business Innovation and Entrepreneurship Facility, to tackle youth unemployment through impact driven innovation and entrepreneurship in sectors with a high multiplier effect on creation of jobs and livelihood opportunities.

One of UNDP’s channels for supporting the youth under the Youth For Business Initiative is the Innovation Challenge Fund which provides competitive matching grants of up to $40,000 in grant resources.

In the wake of the disruptive covid 19 pandemic, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Uganda has engaged NASE to attract Ugandan youth with entrepreneurial aspirations to develop and refine ideas for products, services and solutions that address challenges in the following key sectors; Health, Agriculture, ICT, Tourism, Mining, Renewable Energy, Manufacturing, Creative Industries, Smart Cities and Urban Development.
With skilling, mentorship, incubation support and hundreds of millions of seed investment to be won, the Youth IDEAthon is organized to Inspire, Skill, Build and Accelerate ideas from anyone out there.
