POSITION : CHANNELS OFFICER

REPORTS TO : CHANNELS MANAGER

JOB PURPOSE

To position Ecobank as the preferred bank of choice for banking on digital channels in country. It is responsible for supporting digital innovation and providing comprehensive banking services and a unified customer experience to all consumer banking customers on digital channels including Mobile channel, Internet banking, ATMs and POSs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Business and Financial performance

▪ Support the digital channels function in strategic thought and initiatives for growth,
identification and analysis of business growth.

▪ Support the positioning of Ecobank’s digital channels as top-tier brand amongst comparator brands.
▪ Support the management of the process around market sizing, competitive analysis and
scenario planning for the business.
▪ Drive a sustainable franchise capable of delivering consistent double-digit revenue and
customer acquisition growth.
▪ Support market share growth via product sales.
▪ Support the management of digital channels sales / revenue and profitability momentum.

Customer Excellence

▪ Drive customer service excellence, unified customer experience and ensure competitive
solutions and products are consistently delivered on all digital channels.
▪ Sustain a customer-centric business culture, leveraging on technology.
▪ Ensure high customer satisfaction as measured and monitored through Customer feedback surveys.
▪ Build best in class customer service.

Process, control and operational performance

▪ Promote high ethical and integrity standards, and establish a culture within the bank that establishes and demonstrates to all personnel the importance of controls
▪ Ensure there is a strong internal control system in place to minimize operational losses and monitor its adequacy and effectiveness

Strategic initiatives

▪ Support the strategic initiatives that will create business growth, position digital channels as the foremost digital channels business.
▪ Support cost management initiative within digital channels business.

A SUITABLY QUALIFIED CANDIDATE SHOULD HAVE:

▪ Minimum of 3 years work experience in a banking / EBusiness / telecoms industry.
▪ Sound business and people development performance record.
▪ Bachelor’s degree preferably in eCommerce, Sciences or related field of study.
Skills, Capabilities & Personal attributes
▪ Strategic understanding of the digital channels business and good management skills.
▪ Ability to establish direction, drive execution and own results.
▪ Good knowledge of technology systems and applications.
▪ Strong interpersonal, influencing and communication skills
