International Medical Link (IML) is an Insurance Organization Licensed by the Insurance Regulatory Authority (IRA) to offer Health Insurance in Uganda. IML liaises with various partner hospitals located in different parts of Uganda as well as its owned IML Clinics in order to offer continuous and uninterrupted medical treatment to her insured clients.  We are looking for a qualified and most suitable person to fill the position of Clients Relations Officer (In charge of Medical Insurance Clients) for purposes of handling insurance Clients.

Post:                Client Relations Officer (In charge of Medical Insurance Clients)

Positions:        One (01) Post Based at Head Office in Kampala

Reporting to:  The Head of Medical Services

JOB PURPOSE:

  • To effectively liaise with IML Insurance customers and IML clients in the most appealing and professional customer care standard.

 JOB DESCRIPTION/ KEY ROLES

  1. Effectively manage pre-authorizations for IML clients at hospitals, referrals and placements of patients that require selected procedures in HSPs with quality services at negotiated best prices.
  2. Systematically track medical claims utilization per insured organization, generate reports on medical insurance benefits usage in order to advise involved clients appropriately.
  3. Work with team leader medical services and other IML staff to visit IML admitted patients, conduct patient follow up visits among other interventions to guarantee customer satisfactions.
  4. Conduct wellness clinics and sensitize clients and hospitals on effective usage and best practices of the medical insurance policy and its management through pre-enrolment presentations, meetings and other feasible ways.
  5. Support Medical Doctors to review claims
  6. Attend to any other assignments that may be assigned to you by your supervisor.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS/KEY REQUIREMENTS:
Academic Qualifications

  1. A Diploma in Clinical Medicine and any related Postgraduate qualification in the medical field.
  2. A qualification in PR, Customer care and communication skills is a strong added advantage

Relevant Work Experience

  • Relevant work experience in hospital and or similar stakeholder Relations Management role is primary.
  • Experience of having worked in a communications, PR or customer relations position is a strong added advantage.

Special Skills and Personal Traits Required:

  • Strong communications skills, emotional intelligence and control with ability to deal with a wide range of interpersonal problems, angry customers among others.
  • Ability to have flexible working hours and or shifts including attending to customers at night.
  • The candidates must demonstrate competence and capability to be innovative, self-directed, and agile in their work.
  • Evident ability to demonstrate good communications skills including messaging on emails, letters and presentation skills in English.
  • Practical computer skills in Microsoft office suites are a must.
  • Ability to work in a busy and demanding work under pressure
  • Ability to work both independently and as an admirable team player.

Specific Limitations:

  1. Age Limit: must be between 25-40 years
