The New Vision Printing and Publishing Company Ltd is looking to recruit a dynamic and self motivated individual to fill the position of COMMERCIAL PRODUCER, KABALEGA FM.
Position: Commercial Producer, Kabalega FM Station
Reports to: STATION Manager, Kabalega FM.
Duty Station: Hoima
Description of purpose
To produce content (adverts, promos, skits, station jingles etc.) that is appealing to the target audience and advertisers in line with Vision Group editorial guidelines.
Key Result Areas:
• Produce all commercials, program promos, skits, station IDs to keep the image of the station highly competitive.
• Develop promo and advert scripts for programming and sales clients.
• Ensure that length of audio material supplied to and produced by the client is the same as the length of the spots purchased.
• Conduct regular voice tests for potential presenters.
• Maintain, organize and secure relevant records, current and previous company files including; scripts, briefs, instructions, commercial forms, produced material, production music and sound effects library.
• Supervise and manage the production studio and machines to ensure functionality at full capacity and efficiency.
• Liaise with regional production studios for cross platform commercial content in order to have uniform quality production that suits the client and generates revenue.
• Support the programming and news sections through timely production.
• Submit production performance reports on a weekly basis.
Education and Professional Qualifications:
• A Diploma in Mass Communication or Sound Engineering.
• Additional qualifications in IT and Performing Arts will be an added advantage.
• At least 2 to 3 years’ working experience in a competitive media production environment.

Working Experience:
• At least 2 years experience traffic controlling for broadcast media particularly in a busy radio newsroom environment.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Technical Competences:
• Production & broadcast software; cool edit, pro tools, logic platinum, adobe audition, imedia-touch, jazzler.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft packages.
• Proficient in English, Runyoro, Rutooro or Rugungu.
• Basic knowledge of broadcast equipment.
• Basic knowledge on sound equipment.
• Excellent creative and script writing abilities.
