JOB TITLE: Compliance Auditor

REPORTS TO: Compliance Team Leader
DEPARTMENT: Commercial
DUTY STATION: Upcountry
Job Purpose:
To undertake an accurate reconciliation of employers’ accounts with NSSF and review the employers’ human resource policies concerning workers’ terms of employment and emoluments paid in relation to their contributions records, to ensure compliance with the NSSF Act and enhance business with employers.
Duties and Responsibilities include:
· Prepare audit reports and discuss audit findings with the employer.
· Participate in the development and tracking of the strategic plans for the Compliance Section and ensure that they are aligned to the department strategy.
· Engage with different stakeholders in and out of the fund to facilitate the achievement of departmental and organizational objectives.
· Review own performance and seek feedback to improve performance.
· Collaborate with different teams and stakeholders within and outside the fund
· Hold meetings with the employers.
· Analyse employer’s cash flows, draft deeds of settlement, payment plans and have them signed off.
· Register employees and generate TRNs for arrears on due dates
· Issue demand notes to audited employers, make calls, visits and send emails to employers who have not made good on their obligation of settling audited arrears.
· Gather and obtain information as regards whistleblower complaints either from the employer or from the whistleblower.
· Gather and prepare sufficient and appropriate documentation for onward submission to the legal department with an aim of prosecuting difficult employers.
Education and Qualification Requirements:
· A Bachelor’s degree in Management, Business, Statistics, Finance, Commerce or a related business course.
· A Professional qualification in ACCA or CPA
Work Experience
· At least 3- 4 years’ experience in a compliance or audit function
· Demonstrable experience conducting audits or compliance reviews within regulated entities.
