Post:  Construction Manager – Buildings

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  1. Be the coordinating arm between the project construction team, the Client, the Supervising Consultant and the NHCC management
  2. Oversee the project organization, coordination, monitoring, reporting, controlling and planning requirements for the Construction works of the Project.
  3. Identification, assessment and preparation of claims for consideration by the Employer.
  4. Supervising the Project Team with respect to managing Client requirements and expectations in achieving targets and milestones.
  5. Ensure compliance on the Project including, compliance to drawings, instructions, specifications, Ugandan laws and statutory guidelines on Project implementation.

 

Minimum Qualification and Experience:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management from a reputable institution, 
  2. Post Graduate training in Project Management.
  3. Training and Experience in different forms of Contract e.g. FIDIC
  4. 12 years of specific experience in Building Construction works
  5. 5 years as a Construction Manager on a road Construction project (Bitumen Standard)
  6. Registration with relevant professional Bodies (ERB) as an added advantage
