Job Description
- Management of the contracting process from prequalification, through award up to Contract close-up for all Upstream Contracts.
- To set up and proficiently manage the Contracts team in accordance with the project size and to fit the project objectives.
- Coordinate the administration of COMPANY Contracts, and particularly: Review and accept Contract administration management documents prepared by Contractors & Vendors.
- Ensure consistency & adequacy of documents such as Performance Bonds, Bank Guarantees, Invoices, Preparation of official correspondence with Contractors,
- Manage the preparation of the call for tenders and coordinate the selection process for all technical assistance required for the execution of the Project.
- Actively follow relevant markets, gathering and using information received, developing and maintaining market information systems to provide up-to-date details of both market conditions and contractors/suppliers.
- Build and maintain relationships with contractors/suppliers in order to secure positive, constructive and cost-effective commercial agreements for the Project.
- Provide day to day coordination with the Contracts & Procurement Manager, Package Managers and Engineering Manager, including attendance to dedicate and routine meetings (when necessary).
- Participate to COMPANY management meetings & Stakeholders meetings as required and report main activities and areas of concerns.
Candidate profile
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Minimum 10 years’ practical, relevant and progressive experience in preparation, negotiation, monitoring of complex technical contracts in the onshore and offshore oil or petrochemical industries with International project experience.
- Knowledge and understanding of project services and contract processes including management, amendment & close out of contracts
- Demonstrable general knowledge & understanding of project control, commercial, legal and insurance issues affecting the Company in general, and “in depth” understanding where relevant to contracts for works, goods & services
- In depth knowledge and understanding of different means of contractor remuneration and their commercial implications, practical experience of their use.
- Good communication, managerial & organizational skills, capabilities to take workload & work under pressure, able to work in a multicultural environment.
