Reports to: Catering Officer

Location: Guluddene, Gayaza Campus

Job summary:

To undertake the preparation, cooking and serving of food to students.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Preparing, cooking and appropriately presenting meals for students.
  • Ensuring routine day to day as well as specialized cleaning of kitchen equipment, work surfaces, kitchen floors and storage areas as directed by the Supervisor.
  • Ensuring food waste is controlled with regard to preparation and cooking.
  • Maintaining the highest standards of health, hygiene and safety.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned from time to time by the relevant authority.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • “O” Level Certificate (UCE).
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Experience in a similar role is an added advantage.
  • Must be willing and able to work extended hours including week ends.
  • Must be between 28 – 45 years of age.
