Post:  Environmental and Social Expert

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Plan for and monitor Implementation of the specified environmental policies and guidelines set out in the Contract. 
  2. Ensure implementation of environmental and social impact mitigation measures.
  3. Coordinate all project stakeholder engagements
  4. Liaise with Client, project Consultant and the Construction Manager on Project affected persons
  5. Conduct EIA and advise accordingly

 

Minimum Qualification and Experience:

 

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, or Environmental science or sociology or closely related discipline form a recognised University/Institution. 
  2. Post Graduate Training in Environmental Management or sociology. 
  3. Six (6) years of specific experience in Construction works two years of which as a Sociologist of Environmentalist on a road construction project (Bitumen Standard)
  4. Valid Practicing License issued by the relevant professional body.
