SUMMARY

Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA) seeks to hire on short-term basis qualified and experienced Field Officers to conduct household, community health worker, and Anthropometric surveys in local languages for the Living Goods II Endline Study in Kayunga, Iganga, Mbale, Kumi, Soroti, Dokolo, Apac, Gulu, Adjumani, Maracha, Koboko and Nebbi Districts.

IPA is conducting a follow-up data collection exercise on behalf of the implementing partners Living Goods and BRAC. Three different surveys will be administered to approximately 12000 respondents. The surveys will look at intra household dynamics, household welfare, health behavior of respondents, child mortality rate, essential services provided by the community health workers and anthropometry measurements of children under the age of 5 years will be recorded.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Fluent in local (written and spoken) languages spoken in the study districts and English (MUST KNOW)
  • Experience in conducting field interviews & anthropometry measurements
  • Experience in conducting electronic data collection
  • Post-secondary education (Degree or Diploma in relevant field of study)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct surveys in rural communities
  • Willingness to work long hours (Monday to Saturday).

NOTE: YOU MUST BE A RESIDENT OF THE STUDY DISTRICTS AND MUST HAVE A TAX IDENTIFICATION NUMBER (TIN)

DURATION:

Between 2 to 4 weeks dependent on performance, data collection to accomplish and subject to successful completion of one-week training and shortlisting of Field Officers to be hired to conduct the research. Recruitment will be on a rolling basis as the project progresses to other study districts
