Save the Children International is currently recruiting for a Field Sponsorship Operations Coordinator at our field Office in Wakiso. The Field Sponsorship Operations Coordinator is responsible for effectively and efficiently managing all sponsorship operations within the Programme Impact Area (covering Namayumba, Masulita, Gombe and Kakiri subcounties) in ways that meet both local and international Save the Children sponsorship & quality standard procedures. This role supervises the Community Sponsorship Officers.The post holder may be called upon as and when necessary to support the emergency team in cases of humanitarian crisis.

 

To be successful for this role, you will have/bring the following:

  • Minimum of a Degree in project management, Business Computing, Information management systems, business administration or related and relevant field.
  • At least 4 years working experience in development programmes of managing child sponsorship operations is essential.
  • Must possess advanced computing skills
  • Having experience and skills in photo and video taking is an added advantage
  • Must be willing to extensively travel to the field in supporting sponsorship data collection and business.
  • Thorough understanding of Save the Children working principles and approaches of Child Participation, Child Rights Programming, Partnership, Child Safeguarding, Zero Tolerance, Monitoring and Evaluation, Programme Integration etc.
  • Highly developed cultural awareness and ability to work well in an international environment with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures
  • Ability to intervene with crisis management or troubleshooting as necessary.
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills including influencing, negotiation and coaching
  • Excellent time management and planning capacity
  • Excellent planning, coordination and reporting skills, with the ability to organize a substantial workload comprised of complex, diverse tasks and responsibilities
  • Computer literacy and excellent documentation skills are a must.
  • Availability and willingness to work extra hours during times of humanitarian responses.
