To prepare accurate and timely financial statements and management reports according to International Accounting Standards and Baylor-Uganda Financial manual
Overall Responsibilities
1- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and management reports according to Baylor Uganda’s financial policies in line with IAS’s / GAAP and according to donor requirements.
2- Prepare monthly trial balance and balance sheet account reconciliations including bank reconciliations in line with Baylor-Uganda financial guidelines
3- Review of local purchase orders for goods and services supplied to Baylor Uganda in line with the financial guidelines.
4- Prepare Journal vouchers for programme advance accountabilities and review all accountabilities from all concerned stakeholders in line with the financial guidelines.

5- Develop assistant accountants through training and support and maintain a competent and motivated “team of Assistant Accountants through giving constructive feedback, coaching and mentoring in line with the Human resource manual.
6- Manage the Accounts Payable and carry out routine vendors’ account reconciliations
7- Manage the Program advances in accordance with Baylor –Uganda Finance Manual
8- Manage Project Accounts and prepare quarterly reports according to the donors’ reporting requirements.
9- Prepare the Payroll in accordance to Finance and Human Resource manuals. Submit to the Finance Manager for review and eventual approval by Director of Finance
10- Manage donor fund accountabilities and prepare specific donor reports according to donor reporting requirements.
11- Certify correctness of accountability and accountability reports from programme implementers and Baylor staff in line with Baylor financial regulations.
Required Qualification, Experience and Competencies:
- 1- A bachelors (honors) degree in Commerce, Finance or Accounting.
- 2- A professional Qualification e.g. (ACCA, CPA)
- 3 Years Relevant Experience
