Our Client in the financial sector is looking to identify results-driven, visionary, strategic thinking experienced, and highly qualified leaders with excellent credentials, proven experience, demonstrated capacity, and know-how to fill the position of Head Marketing & Business Solutions

As a member of ExCo, the Head of Marketing & Business Solutions (HMBS) shares responsibility for ensuring the success and sustainability of the Bank; in particular by developing and executing the Bank’s Strategy. The HMBS will lead and oversee a broad array of functions in a manner that supports consistent business growth and increased visibility in line with the bank’s strategic aspirations. Responsibilities include the development of integrated marketing strategies, brand management, market research, gathering competitive intelligence and VoC feedback, product lifecycle management, campaign management, digital marketing, communications, events, and public relations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Embed Customer Obsession with Winning Propositions
    • Marketing Strategy: Facilitate colleagues in the Banking Divisions and in the Credit Domain to develop and implement integrated business plans and marketing strategies (including product portfolio, positioning, price, and promotion; aim to enhance the Bank’s competitive position and drive-up revenues.
  2. Become Digital & Data Driven
    • Market Research & Data: Direct and support the collection of data on market opportunities, customers, competitors, and the wider ecosystem; lead analysis, interpretation, and the incorporation of lessons learned into strategy.
  3. Build a High-Performance Culture
    • Redesign organization structure to deliver on strategic priorities, transform culture and address skill gaps across the organization.
  4. Financial
    • Return on Investment: Develop the department’s annual plan and budget; project revenue growth expected as a result of spending on Marketing & Business Solutions activities & adaptively manage the implementation to optimize value for money
  5. Customer
    • Brand Development: Lead the development and implementation of the Bank’s Brand; liaise with colleagues bank-wide to ensure consistency of standards and reliable delivery of brand promises.
    • Strategic Relationship Management: Oversee the development and implementation of the Bank’s Public Relations Strategy; personally build and maintain a network of strategic relationships, including with the media.
  6. Process and Risk
    • Risk and Compliance: Ensure the development of a strong culture of risk and compliance management within the Marketing & Business Solutions team; including anticipating and proactively managing reputational risk.
  7. Learning and Capacity
    • Innovation: Lead the ongoing review and innovation of the Bank’s product portfolio, aiming to measurably enhance our competitive position; collaborate with the Technology & Operations team to develop, test, and roll out new or improved products.

Requirements

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field and/or equivalent work experience.
  • A Master’s Degree in Business, Finance, or Marketing, or a Professional qualification in Marketing or a related field will be an added advantage
  • 10 plus years of experience in marketing or related field, including (5) years leading marketing, brand management, and operational marketing initiatives in the finance industry.

  • Ability to lead, analyse, interpret, and act on market research/business intelligence
  • Exceptional execution skills; ability to translate business strategy into go-to-market plans. •Advanced experience working with digital marketing technologies and communications channels including social media, branding, and messaging to different target audiences.
