Post:  Health and Safety Officer 

No. of Vacancies: Five (5) Vacancies  

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  1. Developing and executing health and safety plans in the workplace according to legal guidelines
  2. Preparing and enforcing policies to establish a culture of health and safety. 
  3. Evaluating practices, procedures and facilities to assess risk and adherence to the law
  4. Conduct training and presentations for health and safety matters and accident prevention
  5. Monitor compliance to policies and laws by inspecting employees and operation
  6. Inspect equipment and machinery to observe possible unsafe condition
  7. Investigate accidents or incidents to discover causes and handle worker’s compensation claim
  8. Recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities or new prevention measures
  9. Report on health and safety awareness, issues and statistic
  10. Ensures Company premises are free from hazardous substances which may be chemical, physical, or biological substances
  11. Reviews emergency situations to consider what the organization could have done to prevent them from occurring

 

Minimum Qualification and Experience:

 

  1. Bachelor of Arts or Science degree in Safety management or closely related relevant field is preferred
  2. Valid professional certification in occupational health and safety as essential requirement 
  3. Three (3) years proven experience as a Safety Manager with deep understanding of legal health and safety policies and guidelines
  4. Strong knowledge of environmental and health and safety basic regulatory and legal framework
