Job Title:  Human Resource Assistant

Reports to:  Human Resource Business Partner

Work Station: Kampala      

Job Summary:

The Human Resource Assistant will support the Human Resource department in the provision of HR support on various human resource functions. 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist generally in the human resource activities for the Amref employees, as required.
  • Support recruitment exercise including sorting, longlisting of applications, coordinate candidates’ invitations for interview, drafting interview report, creation of new staff personnel files, supporting in    • the induction processes.
  • Support in the preparation of contract documents for staff for review by Supervisor.
  • Update the existing personnel files, ensuring that they all have the necessary information.
  • Manage trackers within the Human Resource Department including, performance management tracker, mandatory training tracker, recruitment tracker e.t.c.
  • Ensures appropriate and immediate handling of project staff enquiries, issues and requests for assistance in the absence of supervisor.
  • Keeps all project staff information confidential and communicates only what needs to be shared when need arises.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Supervisor.

Basic Qualifications, Training and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management
  • At least 1 years’ experience doing a similar role
  • Proven skills in administration and human resources management
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal skills
  • Good administrative skills
  • Strong written and oral English communications skills
