Position: Human Resource Officer

USAID/PEPFAR-funded Keeping Children Healthy and Safe (KCHS)

Reporting to: Director Financial Management & Operations with linkage to Human Resource Manager
Location: Mbarara (1 person)

 

Job Purpose

Implement human resource management policies, systems, and processes in line with TPO’s HR Strategy.

Responsibilities Related to project implementation

ü  Implement the TPO recruitment and selection processes in line with the Human Resource Manual.

ü  Monitor staff performance and attendance activities.

ü  Develop and implement staff learning and development programs in line with TPO objectives and procedures.

ü  Develop and implement welfare scheme and staff benefits in line with the human resource policy.

ü  Participate in, documentation and dissemination of correspondences and minutes in line with the HR policy.

ü  Monitor the TPO payroll and advise the Finance on any changes before salaries are paid.

Person Specifications:
Bachelor’s in Human Resource Management, Industrial and Organizational Psychology, Business Administration with bias in Human Resource Management or any other related field. A PGD HRM is an added advantage. At least three years’ experience of working in a generalist HR environment, to include administration of recruitment and training at all levels. Experience of supporting managers across a variety of departments at different levels in all aspects of HR and training
