Summary: The U.S. Mission in Uganda is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Management Analyst.  

The work schedule for this position is: Full Time, 40 hours per week.

Start date: Candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time following receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.

Supervisory Position: No

Duties: The position coordinate special projects to include VIP visits, including POTUS and CODELs. The position coordinates the preparation of Annual Management Reports that include Financial Filers, COLA and Post differential, consumables and education reports.  The position will manage the Collaborative Management initiative (CMI), and will be responsible for monitoring, coordinating, evaluating and reporting metrics.  The position is supervised by the Management Counselor.

Qualifications and Evaluations 

Education: Completion of 2 years of college studies is required.

Requirements: 

EXPERIENCE: Three years of administrative or clerical working experience in project coordination/project management is required.

JOB KNOWLEDGE: Must be able to demonstrate the ability to quickly acquire knowledge and understanding of not only the Management Office’s role in the Embassy, but the Management Office’s functional relationship with the Mission’s other sections and agencies.

Evaluations:

LANGUAGE:  Level 4 English fluency is required. This may be tested.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:  Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.  Must have excellent writing, proofreading and editing skills.  Must be able to effectively use computer software (Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project or similar software) and the Internet.  Must be able to manage multiple tasks with a high degree of accuracy and attention-to-detail, cope with various personalities in addressing competing requests, keep tight deadlines, function in a stressful environment, and manage large numbers of people.

Qualifications:  All applicants under consideration will be required to pass medical and security certifications.

The certification letter should be on letterhead of the appropriate military branch of the service and contain (1) the military service dates including the expected discharge or release date; and (2) the character of service.  Acceptable documentation must be submitted in order for the preference to be given.  

** This level of preference applies to all Foreign Service employees on LWOP and CS with re-employment rights back to their agency or bureau.
