Job Specification

  • Conduct school visits to collect data on enrollment, attendance and any other needed data from 45 schools and upload it in kobo on a monthly basis.
  • Engage with Directors of studies to pick school based data.
  • Clean data collected and upload it in Kobo
  • Follow up with schools2030 focal teachers to track the progress of project implementation.
  • Attend data driven meetings with the schools2030 M&E officer to reflect on the data collection process.
  • Support the teachers on the use of kobo.
  • Coordinate with teachers to ensure that data on enrolment and attendance is prepared and stored in once place and submitted per month.
  • Support the teachers to file their sources of data safely in the files for future reference.
  • Ensure that monthly reports on data collection are submitted on time.
  • Ensuring completeness, consistency, and accuracy of data during data collection
  • Provide data related information and feedback to communicate progress, challenges, and recommendations to the M&E officer.
  • Provide timely accountability for the allocated funds.
  • Provide feedback to the teachers in response to all inquiries related to data.
  • Responsible for any other duty as needed within your scope of work.

Qualifications

  • The applicant must hold a Degree in Statistics, Economics, Education, or any data management related field.
  • A minimum of two years’ experience in collecting data using Kobo collect application.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of online and offline, open-source data collection tools and approaches and or database environment and/or project management software.
  • Relevant experience working in education programming and international development is an added advantage.
  • Excellent communication and inter-personal skills.
  • Skills in report writing.
  • Familiar with education institutions setting and willing to serve in such settings.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Good records management skills
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure.
