TITLE: Operations Manager
REPORTS TO: Country Director – Uganda
DUTY STATION: Busia
CONTRACT TYPE: Full-time
SALARY: Commensurate with experience
Job Summary:
The Operations Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of the Noonday Children’s Home Property, ensuring that it runs efficiently and that all members of the team have what they need to succeed (such as equipment, supplies, and a safe, supportive work environment). Under the overall supervision of the Country Director and in close cooperation with the Programs Manager, he or she will oversee and report issues with children, staff or property. He or she will also be responsible for adding input to individual plans for each child.

Key Responsibilities
● Responsible for daily activities with the children including but not limited to purchasing food, enrolling in school and securing transportation for school
● Manage the property including repairs, development and projects.
● Plan the monthly budget needs for food, repairs and supplies for the children.
● Prepare budget monitoring against work plans and reports
● Report all expenses with receipts to the accountant.
● Ensure that all emergency-related procurements are responded to in a timely and flexible manner.
● Provide input for each child’s individual development plans to the Programs Manager
● Conduct regular reviews, performance appraisals and manage the employees that work at the property.
● Hold regular meetings with the staff on the Property to discuss activities, problems, concerns and new ideas to improve efficiency of work, open communication and cooperation.
● Communicate routinely with Country Director and Programs Manager

● Must live on property
● Other duties as assigned

Skills and Experience
● Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Management, Procurement, Social Sciences or relevant field required;
● At least four years’ experience at a leadership level in a busy Organization
● Experience working with children required.
● Strong communication skills
● Ability to multi-task
