Position & Grade: Quality Control Inspector
Reports to: Quality Assurance Manager-Controls
Summary Role: This position exists to bridge the gap between analysts and production staff by communicating set standards and ensuring current good manufacturing practices or production of quality products.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
● Sampling and testing of raw materials, packaging materials, semi and finished
products;
● Ensure general cleanliness of jars, caps, covers, drums, basins through physical
inspection and proper storage in line with set standards and procedures;
● Maintain proper use of Personal Protective Equipment. (P.P.E) like gloves, masks in
line with set standards and procedures;
● Ensure compliance to Standard Operating Procedures and current Good
Manufacturing Practices through inspections, checks and writing non-conformance
and handover reports;
● Check compliance to health and safety procedures and standards in the area of
deployment;
● Sample finished products for testing of quality parameters to inform rejection of nonconforming products;
● Check on the application of best storage and return practices to monitor and
evaluate compliance to set standard;
● Inspect packaging materials to assess and approve conformity to standard
specifications;
● Maintain records and document manufacturing batches and log book to generate
analytical reports;
● Verify export products in stores for certification by the relevant regulatory
authorities; and
● Sample in-process batches to be used as reference samples;
● Executing duties through the Movit Eagle in line with Quality, Speed, Cost, Safety and
People in order to establish the basis for Effective Problem Solving, Continuous
Improvement and Innovation;
● Perform any other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time
by immediate supervisor.

● Working with the entire staff and departments in Movit;
● Maintain good relations with key associates and company external stakeholders;
● Office based and ability to manage urgent demands;
● Ability to meet deadlines and exhibit a high degree of flexibility and versatility;
● Ability to work in a team.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
● Possession of a Diploma in Industrial Chemistry, Science Technology chemistry and
any other Chemistry related field;
● Minimum of 2 years working experience in a Manufacturing setup
● Knowledge on environmental laws and regulation;
● Excellent communication skills (both oral & written);
● Excellent people management & team working skills;
● Ability to coordinate and work systematically;
● Good time management and organizational skills;
● Must possess a high level of energy and flexibility;
● Ability to work under instructions.
