Key duties and responsibilities
- Assist in managing customer inquiries and provide accurate information about flight schedules, fares, and services.
- Process bookings, reservations, and ticketing transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Coordinate with airline partners to secure flight availability and negotiate special rates.
- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Prepare sales reports, analyze data, and provide insights to the sales team.
- Maintain and update customer databases and ensure accurate records are kept.
- Assist in organizing sales events, trade shows, and promotional activities.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop sales collaterals and promotional materials.
- Stay updated with industry trends, airline policies, and market conditions.
- Provide administrative support such as managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and preparing sales presentations.
- Plan and implement sales activities to ensure targets are reached and recorded.
- Analyze the market’s potential to determine the value of existing and prospective customers in terms of sales opportunities.
- Collect, review, and consolidate information to support the identification of intervention areas to ensure sales target achievement.
- Cooperate with marketing and PR to determine the best promotion sales techniques
- Communicate and regularly meet with area intermediaries to inform them about new products and promotions to ensure the best and most updated value proposal is timely communicated to the market
- Represent UR at all Trade events recognized as of interest to the company, carry out training products, seminars for Corporate Accounts, and TMC’s accompanying Familiarization Trips.
Minimum Qualification and Experience:
- A bachelor’s degree combined with 3+ years of experience in a sales environment, preferably in the Airline, Travel, or Hospitality industry.
- Excellent knowledge of industry trends and customers’ requirements, with a proven track record in meeting and over-achieving sales targets.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and a proven ability to develop and maintain relationships at all organizational levels.
- Proven experience in sales support or customer service in the airline industry.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
- Knowledge of airline reservation systems (e.g., Amadeus, Sabre) is preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in processing bookings and transactions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle customer complaints effectively.
- Flexibility to work on weekends or outside regular office hours when required.
