The role reports directly to the Commercial Team lead (Any changes in reporting lines will be
communicated in writing).

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist the commercial team lead with sales strategy development and implementation
and the support the strategic sales plans that expand the customer base and ensure the
company maintains a strong presence in the industry.
• Supports commercial team lead in generation of reports to support weekly assessments,
performance assessment, quarterly reports and weekly route plans.
• Assist the commercial team lead in Leads generations, demos, follow up and field sales
officers, support for the central and eastern region.
• Assist the commercial team lead in identifying and supporting bids preparation with the
management team.
• Assist in the timely search and review of potential bids and procurement opportunities.
• Assist the commercial team lead in the management of Retailer Access Energy.
• Establish key accounts and support them for bulk sales, generation of leads,
partnerships and dealerships.
• Coordinates marketing ATL and BTL (social media). Back End Support project support
with projects like cold calling, manual invoicing, SMS platform follow up, invoiced
follow ups.
• Directly supervise and offer inspiration and training to the sales team — (subordinates)
on how to attain business sales objective.
• Generate action plans to enhance performance and productive capacity of
underperforming personnel under your supervision through coaching and mentorship.
• Support the front line sales team to sell company products and work with sales team to
close sales. o Supervise, coach, mentor and support the sales officers under your
supervision to perform on target.
• Track weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance and sales metrics to meet all sales
quotas and goals.
• Maintain and develop good relationship with customers through personal contact,
meetings and/or via telephone etc.
• Very efficient in gathering market intelligence and customer information to enable
negotiations regarding variations in prices, delivery and customer specifications to their
managers.
• Helps management in forthcoming product introductions, launches and discussions and
implementation of special promotions.
• Maintain the set performance level of hitting and exceeding the performance weekly,
monthly, quarterly and annual targets. Review own performance and ensure on track
performance daily.
• Timely reporting on daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly performance and field sales
activities as required by supervisor and report on team member’s performance.
• Record sales and order information and report the same to the supervisor in a timely
manner. Proper and timely accountability for all cash disbursed. Note: Tulima Solar has
a strict no cash payment policy unless expressly approved by the supervisor
• Provides accurate feedback on future buying trends to the supervisor in order to support
the forecasting process.
• Follows procedures for signing out and return of stock from inventory and assume full
responsibility for all stock removed.
• Follows procedure for using phone Sales and Installation Apps for registering all
customers.
• MAGPI for pump customers’
o Carefully train all sales team and customers on equipment usage, warranty
conditions, repayment plans, payment procedure, and in the use of mobile
money or airtel money payment process.
• During your contract tenure you will be expected to sale (4 -6) pumps every month,
ensure timely entry of all leads in the Sales Application, establish 2 key accounts and
support them for bulk sales, conduct two (02) Demos, each Demo to bring at least Five
(05) sales, develop timely marketing calendars, with activities, events and provide
tangible evidence to your supervisor, as an average productivity rate, consideration for
long term contract will depend on performance.
• Carefully select quality customers with capacity to pay for the Systems as well as follow
up customers closely to ensure that they make timely repayments. A bonus will be paid
if your customer portfolio at risk (PAR) is less than 10%.

Minimum requirements:

o 1 (one) year experience in field based sales role.
o Diploma or Degree in Sales and Marketing, Business Management, Agricultural studies
or working in any agriculture projects an added advantage.
o Excellent verbal, written and computer communication skills.
o Proficiency in managing people.
