Senior Internal Auditor ( 1 position )
Reporting to Principal Internal Auditor, the successful candidate duty station shall be at DDA head Office and shall be required to perform the following duties;
1) Ensuring the financial and other transactions of the authority are in compliance with established policies, procedures, principles and plans.
2) Auditing stocks and stocks movement of all commodities and supplies to ensure compliance with authority policies.
3) Ensuring that all records and ledger accounts are checked and certified.
4) Checking and verifying that all transactions are properly documented and have adequate, accurate, reliable underlying evidence.
5) Carrying out regular field visits, surprise audits and spot checks in all areas of te Authority as may be requested by head of Audit.
6) Following up contracts, which involve the commitment of funds to ensure that implementation, is in accordance with contract terms.
7) Any other business as assigned from time to time,
Required Qualifications and experience
1) Honours Degree in Commerce or Honour degree in Science in Accounting and Finance or Honours degree in Business Administration & Management (Accounting).
2) Masters degree in related field is an added advantage.
3) Level 11 professional training in Accounting Qualifications of ACCA, CPA.
4) At least three (3) years of relevant Audit experience in a reputable organization.
