Overview: Sr. Operations Coordinator (UG) 

As our Sr. Operations Coordinator in Uganda, you will report to the Director of East Africa and work closely with Agricycle’s COO and Director of Impact to lead Agricycle’s team in your country. You will support a thriving supply chain, including: sourcing, production and negotiation with smallholders and regional partners. You will be responsible for the management of Field Officers and collaborating with counterparts in other regional countries to meet sourcing requirements for global buyers as well as operational requirements for regional partners. As such, you will continually work to improve Agricycle’s processes in your respective country.


  • Lead strategy, development and implementation of Agricycle’s supply chain in your country.
  • Manage and train a team of Field Officers in your country to successfully grow Agricycle’s operations.
  • Ensure all production targets are successfully met on-time and within budgeting parameters.
  • Collaborate with operational leaders in Agricycle across multiple countries toward company goals.
  • Develop, negotiate and manage relationships with regional partners in your country.
  • Oversee and manage externally funded projects in accordance with grant agreements.
  • Evaluate feasibility and required investment for projects in your country and communicate learnings.
  • Maintain rigorous documentation of operations and communicate regularly with counterparts.
  • Continually improve processes and identify inefficiencies that can be removed in all operations.
  • Represent and promote Agricycle in meetings, conferences and similar events in your country.
  • Any other reasonable responsibility given by supervising team members.

  • Minimum of 5 years of demonstrable experience in operations coordination and project management.
  • University degree or advanced work experience in supply chain management, project management, business management, community development, or other related fields.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and oral) and ability to speak and write in English fluently.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, strong work ethic and unimpeachable integrity.
  • Readiness and ability to regularly perform under pressure and within short time frames.
  • Readiness to travel anywhere in the country under short notices and occasionally work odd hours.
  • Excellent working knowledge of computer applications, especially: gmail and google drive.
