CONTRACT DURATION: FOUR (4) YEARS RENEWABLE
AGE LIMIT: NOT MORE THAN 55 YEARS
Reporting to the Manager Finance – Budgeting and Reporting (Current MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT), the System Accountant will support the development and implementation of the IFMS systems in UWA and will undertake the following duties and responsibilities:
I. Give support to all system users on a daily basis
II. Liaise with system developers for system modifications where necessary, Act as the contact person where external support is needed for the proper functioning of the IFMS.
III. Ensure daily system backup is done, off-site backups are running smoothly and daily. Perform periodic testing of off-site backup and give report to supervisor on a quarterly basis
IV. Work closely with ICT system Administrator to manage the database to avoid database over growth and system crush.
V. Modify reference/static data like chart of accounts, dimensions etc. including report
customisations
VI. Train all new users of the system and assign them appropriate permissions as guided by the user’s
VII. Periodically close the system to disallow backward and forward posting of transactions
VIII. Provide general security of the system by enforcing use of individual password.
IX. Team leader during system upgrade, by guiding the developers on the accounting cycle, expected reports, key management reports etc.
X. Support system review and testing of internal controls
XI. Participate in monitoring and development of performance indicators and incorporating these in the IFMS
XII. Participate in Site support activities in the PAs including system readiness, setup and business reengineering
XIII. Design and customize report formats to aid the users generate reports automatically from the IFMS
XIV. Perform any other official duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
I. Possession of an Honours Bachelor’s Degree specializing in Accounting, Finance or
Information Technology (IT) from a recognized University.
II. Must possess Professional accounting (ACCA or CPA).
III. Must possess certification in Microsoft systems technologies.
EXPERIENCE:
Experience of a minimum of four (4) years, 3 years of which must be in implementation of Microsoft Dynamics ERPs.
