Qualification and Person Specification

• A Bachelor’s degree in Hotel and Institutional Catering or its equivalent from a recognized institution. • Three years working experience in a reputable Institution. • Well-developed managerial, interpersonal and public relations skills. • Knowledge of business and management principles and practices. • Knowledge of strategic planning • High moral character and proven integrity. • Ability to Coach and motivate others. • Capacity to meet tight deadlines with efficiency.

Duties and Responsibilities

i. Head, direct and supervise the efficient operation of the different services of the House Keeping department. ii. Supervise the cleanness of the rooms, public areas and compound iii. Work hand in hand with other departments to ensure smooth running of the Hotel iv. Check with the reception for accuracy and ensuring that revenue accruing from room occupancy is properly accounted for by the House Keepers and the reception or cashiers responsible. v. Control and supervise the movement and quality of linen issued to guest’s rooms vi. Check and report to the Manager all maintenance work. vii. Maintain all house keeping records including keys
