Chemonics International Inc., a leading international development firm that has been implementing USAID programs in Uganda for more than 20 years, seeks a technical director, HIV and HSS for the anticipated five-year approximately $170 million USAID-funded Uganda Health Activity (UHA). This cooperative agreement aims to increase the survival and well-being of vulnerable populations and improve overall health system resilience in priority districts in Uganda through: (1) improved access to and use of quality maternal, newborn, and child health (MNCH); family planning (FP)/reproductive health (RH); nutrition; and water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) health services at community- and health facility-levels; (2) enhanced local ownership and leadership for sustainable health outcomes; and (3) strengthened health systems at the regional-, district-, facility-, and community-levels. The technical director will be responsible for technical oversight of technical assistance activities for strengthening PEPFAR local IPs and HSS. English fluency is required.
