This role is accountable and responsible for inventory management including; planning, monitoring usage levels, managing warehouse facilities, and reviewing the quality and efficiency of warehouse activities in line with SCI policies and procedures.
Performance of tasks shall be executed in a manner that promotes value for money in accordance to SCI standards.

Dimensions: Save the Children supports programs in most parts of the country – Northern, Western, North-eastern and Central regions of Uganda with a current staff complement of approximately 400 staff and current expenditure of approximately $ 26 million each year
As a member of the team:
Tracking stock, maintaining receipt, warehousing, and distribution operations information.
Complies with donor and SCI standards on local warehousing, material handling requirements enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system.
Keep all inventory records are up to date as per donor & SCI requirement Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
Provide supervisory support to warehouse assistants or attendants by scheduling and assigning tasks and following up on work results.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Ensure cleanliness of the warehouse environment is maintained, monitor stock in storage for any infestation, and timely identify need for fumigation.
Maintain all warehouse tools and equipment in good and workable condition including the non-food items used for distribution Prepare periodic reports on stock status & utilization as and when needed Timely upload of data and implementation of the Total Inventory Management system (TiM) Perform any other tasks as delegated by the line manager
