JOB PURPOSE SUMMARY
The WASH Project Officer, WASH for Improved Maternal, Neonatal and Child health services (WIMs)/ Armani will provide technical assistance and support towards successful implementation of the project with a major focus on operational activities which includes planning, implementation, collaboration, coordination, documentation, monitoring and evaluation. The post holder will manage project information and partner relationships while ensuring effective communication of the WAU led project results to the WIMs Project Manager, ensure risk management, project financial management and accountability aligned to the WAU values. The post holder will ensure periodic reports are compiled and written, shall apply the WaterAid data collection and storage tools/systems involving the use of mWater and Project Centre.
A). Education and Knowledge Required
· Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health, Environmental Health, Health Sciences, or any other related studies
· At least 3-5 years of demonstrated work experience in project planning, monitoring and evaluation with an INGO.
· Experience and knowledge on institutional WASH sector/ issues
· Skills in project management, including managing resources, and financial and budget planning.
· Work accurately and efficiently to deadlines and targets as agreed with the Project Manager
· Excellent communication, facilitation, presentation, influencing and interpersonal skills.
· Use a high level of communication skills to communicate project implementation issues effectively with the ability to adapt styles to the needs of different audiences both tactfully and diplomatically.
· Previous experience in the NGO sector will be an asset.
· Experience in the WASH in HCF would be a strong advantage
· Ability to build and maintain effective partnerships with WaterAid partners, government, donors, CSOs and with a wide range of other stakeholders
· Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
· Good public relations especially when dealing with consortium and external partner
· Behave ethically while upholding the organisation’s values
